I have a Dell Axim 5 and have just installed MPC 2003. After the installation, all non MS applications were deleted. So I downloaded Black Jack and Video Poker and tried to use my Reg. Key and name from August, 2003. The program installed and worked just the first time and then the ONLY way I could restart it was with a soft reset. The same result happened with my Video Poker.

Any help would be appreciated. I think the program code may need some tweaking, as I see many other users with the same problems.

I have also ran into this problem with my Ipaq 3970. I have tried re-installing and it still hangs! Other non-MS products are working fine after a re-install but not the Video Black Jack or Poker.

sk272,

Many thanks for your input . . . I have not heard a word from G3Studios and/or Guido re. this problem. I assume that others have complained and thus far they have chosen not to respond. Hopefully they will have a fix version shortly.

I am sorry for not responding earlier but as I pointed out on various occasions, there is currently nothing we can do to correct the problem. We do not have access to any Pocket PC 2003 devices at this time.

Guido,

I used and PAID FOR your blackjack pro to use it in a IPAQ 5455. Well, according to a lot of people they are dying like flies and so did mine. As a result I now have a 5555 with the 2003 operating system. I also have the same problems already described. Certifications or not this is not an acceptable condition. The sound also breaks up on the 5555 this was not a problem on the 5455. None of these problems existed in the previous OPS and this was a very good product that I enjoyed and played often. Please do what ever you have to and get a copy of the new OPS and fix this ASAP. Thank you for your attention to the problem with your product.

Guido, I read your response to my problems which appear to be shared by many others with respect to Video Poker and Blackjack Pro when used with Pocket PC 2003.

I note that your reply merely states that you do not have access to a Pocket PC with the 2003 OS. Being in the software business, I would think you would be one of the first to obtain and test it with your products.

I am not looking for a refund, but rather would appreciate your fixing the code so that these games will work with PPC 2003, as I love the games when they worked great with the 2002 version.

Thanks for your consideration

I am sorry for the problems that are evident in the PPC 2003 version, however, I am sure you also understand that it is simply not possible for us to buy every new device that is coming out. Sadly these Pocket PC titles do not make enough money to warrant these expenses. Therefore we have to wait until we receive samples from manufacturers - which are usually in short supply unfortunately. As soon as we get our hands on one, of course we will address the problem and offer a corrected version.

I can't still not believe what I am reading here.

Guido - you don't have to buy "every new device that is coming out". You only have to buy O N E device - and this O N E has to be a PPC2003 device like every(!) device which has been released in the last six months. Alternatively you can upgrade from PPC2002 to PPC2003 for just a few bucks.

Thanks for having a look at this and have a nice day!

Unfortunately things are not quite that easy, I'm afraid, even though they may present themselves that way to an observer.

Wow, My Ipaq is over a year old, then I paid $45.00 to upgrade the OS. You do not have to have a new device to get the 2003 OS. Seems that you need to buy one to keep your product up to date. It would seem to be a wise investment. I loved Black Jack, and I was going to buy Poker and your other games, but not until I can play Black Jack again

This is just a quick note to let everyone know that a new version of the game is now ready for download in our Downloads Section. This new version addresses and resolves the issues that occurred with a number of Pocket PC 2003 devices. I am sorry that it took so long to get this problem resolved but as I pointed out earlier, it took some time for us to obtain a Pocket PC 2003 device from Microsoft.
